I am an artist for whom painting has become a way of making sense of the surrounding world. I work through experiences and pause with emotions that are not always possible to express directly. My practice often begins with everyday observations, encounters, memories, and situations in which something ordinary starts to reveal a deeper meaning. I am especially interested in small moments, tensions, and experiences where the personal can open into something shared.

My work is guided by continuous observation and an interest in relationships between people, social structures, and cultural layers. My paintings are informed by my own experiences, situations I have witnessed, other people’s stories, and questions raised by the surrounding reality. These do not appear in my paintings as direct explanations, but take shape as atmospheres, gestures, figures, and meanings that remain partly open. I mainly paint with oil on canvas, as painting allows me to work on an image slowly, in layers, and while listening to feeling. I also approach art as a form of research through other materials and modes of expression.
